hello 2010 ... goodbye and thank you 2009!

it's finally over ... 2009 is officially gone (and so are the holidays YAY)! the year went by so, so fast! we had a very good year, no complains here. the biggest blessing we received this year was our cute little AMANDAH DALLAS! back in 2007 Jose and I tried to get pregnant for the last 6 months of the year. after our last try in December of 2007 my resolution for 2008 was that I was no longer going to try or even think about getting pregnant. I made up my mind that Amelyah and Samuel were going to be my only 2 children and I didn't need anymore; after all I had my princess and my pirate! I am glad I was wrong though! I am so grateful for my children! they bring nothing but joy to my life and even though some days are extremely stressful, I wouldn't trade my "job" for anything in the world. another great thing that happened this past year was Jose's graduation! he received his bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix and it was a great accomplishment for him and for us as well! it was not easy but it was so worth it. there were so many times he thought of giving up but I kept pushing him because I knew he could do it; he knew it too. I am so grateful for his hard work and for the great example he is to the kids. both Amelyah and Samuel say they want to graduate like daddy ... I really hope they do!

there are a lot of other great things that happened this past year but writing them all would take up hours! all I can say is that we are so grateful to have all we have and so grateful for the things we don't have. I used to make new year resolutions but I stopped! I think we all know what we need to work on and all I can say is that I want to be a better person day to day and learn from my mistakes. my only resolution is to live, laugh and love ... a cliche perhaps but the truth!
