not too much to say!

Ok, ok so I've been a slacker! I swear I've been wanting to update my blog but something always gets in the way ... it's called BEING TIRED! :) Also, I really don't have a ton to say. We haven't really been up to too much lately. We hung out with family for Marisol's baby blessing. We didn't do much for Valentine's because Amandah had and still has bronchitis. Other than that, life is good! Oh I did get a new calling at church ... Visiting Teaching Supervisor! YIKES! How I will find the time, I don't know but I will do my best! Oh, and I have also been through a little challenge/trail if you will, which has left me both physically and emotionally drained. I'll blog about it someday when I don't get teary eyed just thinking about it. Anywho, here are pictures of our life since 4 weeks ago. Enjoy!

there is never a dull moment!

Amelyah is without a doubt my ray of sunshine! She is getting so big and a little too smart for her own good. She loves to make new friends and is always inviting friends to come over and play. She is still learning how to read and is doing awesome! She is also fascinated with the solar system. She can tell you all about the planets and their order. She loves her daddy and goes crazy when he gets home. She is always smiling except when you spell her name with an I and without an H. She doesn't like tomatoes and gets upset when her jr. bacon cheeseburger has a big juicy tomato in it. She loves to teach her brother what she learns at school. She is always saying the funniest things. My baby isn't a baby anymore :( ... she is my everything!

smile pretty girl!

always will be a daddy's girl!

loves to be a big sister!

I love my handsome!

Samuel has really been into character lately. He loves Spider-Man and has been wearing his costume for the past 2 weeks. He can't take it to school so when he comes home he'll change and wear it all day long. I have taken him to the store with it on and even to primary activities. He also loves to play on the computer. He gets an hour a day to play games and he is getting really good at them. He loves to rough house with Amelyah and when she doesn't want to play with him I'll step in and wrestle with him. He loves one on one time with dad especially when they go to basketball games. I love my Sam! Even though I could do without his stubbornness, I wouldn't change him for anything in the world! He is my one and only boy and no matter what his dad says, he will always be a mama's boy!

nothing but love!

BFF's forever and ever!

just when you thought she couldn't get any cuter ... she does! *wink*

Amandah Dallas is 6 whole months! WOW ... time sure does fly when you're having fun! Amandah is such a fun girl! She rolls all over the house, which freaks me out sometimes. I used to be able to leave her in the playroom with Amelyah and Sam but I can't anymore because she is fast at rolling and well you can't always trust a 5 or 4 year old with a baby. She is also sitting up all by herself. She loves when her daddy gets home from work. She loves to smile at anyone that talks to her and she will talk right back. :) She enjoys her baths and likes being loud when she gets tired. She is attached at the hip to me (her mother) and does not like it when I have to leave her alone to finish chores. She is starting to eat a little of everything and so far her favorite are crackers and applesauce. She loves hugs and kisses and to be tickled on her neck. Her hair is growing a lot and I have fun combing it, her not so much. We love her so so much and are grateful for her smile and the happiness she brings to our family!

"gonna get my hair did!" ;)

who doesn't love a bath ... ok so she is not smiling in this picture but I swear she loves it!

she was really sick in this picture ... poor thing had a fever of 103!

couldn't of planned it better myself!

I had such a great weekend thanks to Jose, my friend Heidi and abuela (grandma)! Jose took the day off on Friday. I woke him up to go to work and he surprised me by saying, "I'm staying home babe!" I was so happy to hear those words! I was running on empty and needed a little break from all the daily chaos. so he stayed home and helped me out with anything I needed (I love PTO). that same day the kids were going to go to our friends Heidi's house for the evening and Jose and I were going to go see "The Lovely Bones" but Amelyah came home from school with a fever and a runny nose. after telling her that she had to stay home because she was sick, she decided to throw a little tantrum and call me a bad mommy! I didn't pay too much attention to the tantrum thing because I knew she was sick and dilusional! lol later that night my mother in law showed up to comfort her because everyone knows that abuela makes everything better! Amelyah, abuela and I stayed home all day on Saturday because I wanted her to get better before Monday so she could go to school. Jose took Sam and Amandah to the library for a good amount of time and we all had time to rest at home. Sunday was a regular day and again I stayed home with the kiddos because Amelyah was still kind of sick. but then Monday rolled along and I got the gift of a lifetime ... my friend Heidi invited the kids to her house for a play date and I got some time to myself and of course some one on one time with Amandah, which doesn't come by very often. so while baby slept mommy went wild with answering emails, facebooking, talking on the phone and a little laundry here and there. I am so grateful for Jose, Heidi and abuela! they made my weekend so much more relaxing and they gave me some well needed time off. it's crazy how much you crave the silence or alone time, or at least I know I do. I love my kids and I love being able to stay home with them but things definitely get crazier the older they get! so tomorrow it's back to normal ... away we go right? :)
P.S. I added this picture of Amandah cause she is so dang cute and because it's my blog and I can! lol

"skating rules mom!" per Samuel

watching from the sidelines before I decided to put on my skates! Amandah always looks so happy! lol

this past Saturday we did ourselves a little bit of skating! Amelyah was invited to Classic Skating for a birthday party (camera was left at home, no cute pictures with her little friends) and after the party we came home to take Sam, Amandah, daddy and camera on our little adventure. we had a blast! Jose didn't skate but I did, like a real pro ... ok so I fell once or maybe twice :p! lol the kids actually wore skates towards the end but we didn't get a picture cause we had our hands full with helping them not break their heads and taking care of Mandy. after our skating we went over to my sister in law's house. we hung out and played Scategories (spelling), well the girls did, it was kind of like a girl's thing but I took Jose and the kids with me. it was one fun weekend and I have the bruised legs to prove it!

the kids opted for scooters instead of skates!

there they go!

stopping for a quick picture!

so, so tired ... Amelyah and I were there from 12:30-4:30

cute cousins ... always an adventure!

Jose being ghetto ... East Coast baby! lol

I told him to take his jacket off cause he is wearing it in all of the pictures! lol man I look tired.

so ready to go home and sleep!
