Not in my hands!

We regret to inform everyone that I had a miscarriage. I miscarried this past Friday. It was one crazy week! I had my blood drawn four times last week because my HCG levels were not going up. The funny thing is that I was not bleeding or cramping so the nurse scheduled an ultrasound for Friday to see if the baby was ok but I miscarried that morning. The nurse said that there have been occasions when HCG levels don't go up or stay the same and everything is ok with the baby. I was hoping that would be the case but unfortunately it was not.

It was a very hard experience for Jose and myself. We were shocked to find out we were pregnant again but we were also very excited to have our 4th baby! Friday was a sad day but our sadness was soon overpowered by a wonderful feeling of gratitude! We realized how lucky we are to already have 3 beautiful children who inspire us to be better and who love us unconditionally. We are also grateful for the many blessings we receive day in and day out. We have wonderful friends who have let us cry on their shoulders and who have listened to us on the phone for hours! Believe it or not we are also grateful for this trail. It has helped but things in perspective and has helped us become closer to our Heavenly Father and to each other. There is no doubt in our hearts that baby Berson #4 will come to our family soon. In the meantime we will keep counting our blessings and enjoying Amelyah, Samuel and Amandah as much as we can. Like my mom says, you need to give time the time to heal what hurts!
