HOORAY for TYLENOL and the YANKEES!

WOW! we had one heck of a weekend. it all started last Sunday when Amelyah came down with a cold. she missed school for one whole week. she actually went to school on Thursday but was sent home because she came down with a fever and would not stop coughing. that very same Thursday Sam and Amandah had an appointment for their immunizations. Sam got 2 shots on each leg and Amandah got 2 in one leg and 1 in the other. she also had to take an oral immunization which my other two never had, weird! anyway ... later that day Amandah got a fever and was very, very sore and Amelyah had a fever and was very sick. we thought that night was going to be rough but it was actually pretty calm. both girls slept like babies and for the first time Amandah slept 5 hours straight. the next day all 3 kids woke up with fevers and Sam started coughing and complaining about his sore legs. Jose had to go to work and I was home alone taking turns holding them and trying my best to comfort them. 5 p.m. could not have come sooner. we were glad to see daddy come home and the YANKEES win! Saturday morning was such a different story. all 3 kids woke up smiling and acting as if nothing had ever happened. so we decided to get out of the house and do something fun before going to a birthday party later on in the day. we went out for lunch and then we headed over to University Mall and finally we went to a birthday party. the day was so much fun! BUT ... on our way back from the party Amandah wouldn't stop crying! the poor thing cried on and off for hours. she finally fell asleep at 10:30 p.m. and started coughing. the night was long and Jose and I took turns trying to make her feel better. so then on Sunday I finally took her to the afterhours doctor and was told that there is not much they can do but let her own body get rid of the cold. I absolutely hate to see my children sick ... I feel so helpless! the good thing is that they are all getting a lot better (thank you Tylenol) and that tomorrow is a new day, heck a new week! oh, and hey ... we gotta cheer that the YANKEES won again and are moving on in the series!
